Mission And History
Elata's mission is to advance research into TMS for treatment of
depression, to promote awareness and education into the emerging
technology of TMS, and to give hope to those debilitated by depression
who have found no treatment that works besides TMS.
The Elata Foundation was founded in 2006 by James Evans of Chapel
Hill, North Carolina, who serves as President. It is led by a
volunteer Board of Directors and the President.
The Elata Foundation is an IRS approved 501(c)3 non-profit tax-exempt organization.
